Setsu-gekka is the name given to a group of traditional patterns featuring motifs beauty of nature in Japan. The name originally came from a Chinese poem from the 8th century and the word appeared in the oldest existing collection of Japanese poetry, the Man'yōshu, literally meaning the collection of ten thousand leaves. It has been cherished as a seasonal design especially during the Edo Period (1603-1867). Setsu-gekka collection is available on EMOSIWN Etsy Shop.
