THE STORY BEHIND GARNET & HOW TO CARE FOR IT

The name “garnet” is from the Latin word “granatus”, meaning seeds of a pomegranate and it represents love, friendship, prosperity, abundance and eternity. The red colour relates to the heart with the inner fire symbolizing passion. The stone is also said to bring self-empowerment and creative thoughts and in ancient days was used as a talisman for travellers.

Garnet is a relatively hard and durable stone, however I would recommend that the jewellery should be stored on its own in order to protect it from unnecessary damage and it shouldn’t be worn when you swim or do DIY etc. Please use warm soapy water and soft brushes to gently clean.
