Hello, everyone! I hope you are well? We visited the David Nash exhibition ‘Sculpture through the Seasons’ at the National Museum Cardiff in August. David Nash has been working on creative projects based in North Wales since 1960s. Though his main art form is wooden sculpture, the exhibition covered his fantastic drawings as well as installation videos. I was absolutely fascinated by his work using natural materials wood, paper and charcoal, which had developed in an organic and experimental way.
Here are some pieces from the exhibition. I’ve just added a title under some of the works. I hope you enjoy his work in your own unique way.
皆さま、こんにちは。お元気ですか？ 8月に国立ミュージアムへデイヴィッド・ナッシュの”四季折々の彫刻” という展覧会を観に行きました。ナッシュは60年代から北ウェールズをベースに活躍しています。木材を使った作品が中心ですが、付随して素晴らしいスケッチや映像も展示されていました。自然の木を紙であったり、炭のような形で同じ木を様々な違うフォルムで、経年変化であったり、実験的に取組んでいるプロジェクトの数々にとても魅了されました。
写真に各作品の英語タイトルを明記しましたが、皆さんが各々ご自由に彼の作品を楽しんで下さると嬉しいです。
